ISKA Oman

Honoured to have had access to shoot the inaugural international kick boxing competition held in Oman. Staged at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex with fighters from all across Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. I was granted unrestricted access to tell the story of the fighters and their teams as they prepare for their bouts, the fights taking place and the aftermath of a win or loss.

My approach to this was to shoot a mixture of set portraits of people in situ with their environments adding to the story and reportage action shots of fighters preparing and fighting and in the ring. The reactions of the fighters teams and the wider audience in attendance.
