Jock and Nerds
An editorial photographic story of a jazz band, shot on location in south London. To create a heavy, smoky feel to the series a jazz club atmosphere was built in a venue using fixed lighting and smoke machines, then a mixture of portraits and action shots were taken to help tell the story.
The project involved collaboration with a stylist who created the strong looks to add to the story, and the work was printed in quarterly magazine Jocks and Nerds.
